As Beneath the Waves continues to expand its global conservation mission, the organization envisioned a new kind of flagship experience—one that could convene philanthropic leaders, global brands, and local stakeholders around ocean science in a setting that matched the scale and seriousness of the work.

The Blue Carbon Open was conceived as a high-touch platform that would seamlessly integrate marine conservation, luxury travel, and sport—delivering meaningful engagement for partners while reinforcing long-term impact, visibility, and credibility.


The Opportunity:

Create a high-touch conservation platform that blends marine science, luxury travel, and sport

Offer sponsors authentic, mission-aligned participation beyond traditional brand placements

Our Role / Scope of Work:

Experience Strategy & Concepting

  • Co-created the Blue Carbon Open as a new model for conservation-led events—pairing marine science, golf, and cultural programming into a cohesive, values-driven experience.

End-to-End Production & Stewardship

  • Oversaw full planning, logistics, creative direction, and communications across all stakeholders, ensuring clarity, continuity, and operational excellence from concept through execution.

Digital Ecosystem & Guest Communications

  • Designed and launched the event’s digital infrastructure, including the website, RSVP workflows, guest communications pipelines, and real-time updates throughout the weekend.

Sponsor & Partner Integration

  • Served as connective tissue across Bacardi, Sandals, Grand Isle Resort, Beneath the Waves, and BG Entertainment—aligning brand presence, programming, and on-site execution into a unified experience.

Golf & Venue Coordination

  • Collaborated with Sandals Emerald Bay to privately reserve and program the Greg Norman Signature Course for a curated field of 40 players.

Local & National Community Integration

  • Facilitated meaningful participation from the Exumas Golf Federation and Bahamian Golf Federation, ensuring local pride, visibility, and cultural alignment were embedded in the event.

Onsite Execution & Programming

  • Delivered comprehensive on-the-ground production support—from the DJ-hosted Bacardi Welcome Party to tournament operations and the awards ceremony.


The Impact:

Convened 40+ global donors, brand leaders, and local dignitaries in a purpose-driven, high-touch conservation setting

Enabled hands-on marine science participation, aligning sponsors directly with Beneath the Waves’ research and mission

Established the inaugural Blue Carbon Cup, celebrating Bahamian leadership and local sporting legacy
